Please Don't Fear "Cetyl Alcohol" in the Body Butters

Cetyl Alcohol is found in my Body Butters, without this ingredient the body butter has an even slower absorb time. Cetyl Alcohol is an emollient, derived from the fatty alcohol (similar to the term fatty acids) from Coconut or Palm oils. This ingredient is a moisturizer and stabilizer that softens our skin.

I attempted to use Beeswax for this ingredient and I did not appreciate the way it felt on it's own in the Body Butters. Beeswax can be found in my "creamy base" scrubs.

Cetyl Alcohol is plant-derived from palm oil. It is not an ingredient that will dry your skin out, even though the word "alcohol" may give it that appearance.
